Treatment regimens include the use of a sunscreen with a minimum of SPF 30, kligman’s triple combination, etcbut medication must be taken under the supervision of a dermatologist. For Dermal melasma, which is a very common variety, topical treatments are generally ineffective. Lasers and chemical peels are the unique approach in treating melasma.
